Pesticides' effects on humans, animals, and the environment greatly vary.  Symptoms can be acute (severe after exposure to a single dose) or chronic (repeated, small, non-lethal dose) (McDonald).  Sometimes symptoms of pesticide poisoning are similar to other types of diseases, so they can be easily confused with those diseases (McDonald).  General symptoms of human pesticide poisoning include headache, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, and irritation (McDonald).  Moderate symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, stomach cramps, blurred vison, and yellow skin (McDonald).  Severe symptoms include fever, intense thirst, vomiting, unconsciousness, and inability to breathe (McDonald).  Similar side effects happen to affected animals.
